Hey, Are You Listening To Me Or Not?

I got mad at God on Saturday. Then I gave Him some final ultimatums and threats. I don't think that He was too scared, but He didn't strike me dead or anything so I guess that is a good thing.

I said to God, "I can't do this anymore. I am tired of doing the right thing. I am just gonna be bad and not even care."

Then all the inspirational verses about being steadfast and standing and having faith for the future came to my mind and then I felt even worse cause I thought, "I've stood and I can't stand anymore and nothing happens the way I want, so what is the point?" (as you can see I felt very negative, tired, and care worn)

Sher has a new thing that she does every night- when we put her to bed, she says, "I am never going to sleep tonight." And we say, "Oh, yes you are." Because we know that she will.

That is how I fell asleep- saying to God, "I am never doing the right thing again." And he said, "Oh yes you are."

So then, having done all to stand, stand therefore. I don't like it, but I guess I am standing. Laters.

You Dirty Rat

We found out that we have a rat in the basement. Since the washer and dryer are in the basement, I suggested that we just teach the rat how to use the washer and then we could throw the laundry down and then pick it up once a week.
K suggested that we call an exterminator.
K is scared of rats and mice in a manly sort of way, so I guess that the exterminator will win over a laundry trained rat. Laters.

Goodbye Mr. Wiggles

Today was a sad, sad, day. Sher's pet worm that she found on the playground Friday at school was dead when she opened its plastic tub. I have doubts that it ever made it home alive to begin with, but anyway. She was upset for all of 5 minutes and then we had dinner and watched Shrek. Life does go on.

Mag Bag

I got my new Glamour magazine and read it in the bathtub today, which is my monthly routine. I find that if it gets wet, I don't really care too much. This month's cover model was Miley Cyrus. I think it was a bad choice. I do not want to see a 16 year old on my Glamour. Save it for Seventeen. I am an older lady and I like more mature cover models.
Also, Glamour runs the exact same articles every month. Seriously.
The favorite topics:
1. Things to ask your gyno- blah, blah, mine could care less and makes me feel dumb for asking
2. What is on guy's minds- like we don't know-its boobies and stuff like that. Always.
3.Weird sex positions that only monkeys or acrobats could do- really, I mean come on!
4. Mean things I did to my roommate to pay her back for leaving the milk out, stealing my boyfriend, etc. - I always find these hard to believe........
5. Oops, I was caught in an embarrassing place having sex- Again, I find these hard to believe......
6.The "new" and "it" fashion of the month- I am still trying to find a way to buy the "new" and "it" fashion from the winter mags....forget spring.

So maybe I should cancel my subscription?? Laters.

Firstly, please note the lovely, lilac, spring nail polish. I am ready for some warm weather:

open toed shoes- check

spring polish-check

white legs that need some sun-check

warm weather- ??? (darn it, where are you spring? this is like my 3rd request)

Secondly, note the cool freckle right on top of my foot. The Mullins are a fine, freckled family with cool freckles in cool places. K and Ry have one on their palm. Reag right beside his mouth which is so sweet. Sher has some interesting leg freckles. So, all in all that is just one more wonderful thing about being in the Mullins Fam. I know you are jealous. Sonnets of the Portuguese

Another one of my faves for poetry Thursday- hope you enjoy……..

XLIII. "How do I love thee? Let me count the ways..."
by Elizabeth Barrett Browning (1806-1861)

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, --- I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! --- and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

Ewww Gross!

This is our new garbage can. This week K decided to keep the trash it contains an extra week, so it didn't go to the curb for Wednesday garbage day.

I did remind him (as usual) and he said "I know, I got it" (as usual)

I guess he didn't 'got it' after all cause here it sat this morning long after the garbage truck came and went. Maybe it was his April Fools Prank for me.

I would like to mention that I have never liked April Fools. Laters.
